Eden Volta Paradise Resort, Room Prices, Location, Facilities, Menu

I came across this tweet a few months ago from @iamwolanyo on Twitter about a budget-friendly resort called Eden Volta Paradise Resort in Sokpoe. The rates and prices mentioned in the tweet about what the resort was charging for lodging astounded me. I was in doubt. But yo!!! Who nor dey like falaa deals? I called the facility’s manager, Wisdom, right away to ask about cost and room availability for a particular date. Everything that Wolanyo wrote in his tweet was true.

I immediately called my friends to discuss the reservation dates that I had chosen. There wasn’t much thought put into the trip by my friends because it was intended for my birthday celebrations. I was solely in charge of the planning. They were all in agreement whatever i suggested. I’m a trying perfectionist. I dialed Wisdom back to check the details of the bookings and to pay for the accommodations. I reserved 4 of the resort’s 5 rooms. For two nights, my friends and I owned the resort. It was our world literally.

GETTING TO SOKPOE

Driving time from Accra to Sokpoe approximately two hours. Even without the aid of Google Maps, it is not difficult to locate. Driving is much more enjoyable because there are fewer than three turns throughout the journey.

Potholes on various sections of the road are the only downside to the trip. You must be cautious when driving in order to avoid hitting any of them.

Despite having a less modern appearance, the bathrooms in every room are exceptionally clean. It’s extremely cozy to use, and the water pressure is also great.

FOOD

So with the food aspect, Eden has a kitchen on-site that is open every day from early morning until 10 p.m. Main dishes include Banku and Tilapia, Fried Rice with Chicken, Jollof with Chicken, Fried Yam with Chicken or Fish, Banku and Okro are available on the menu. The kitchen offers coffee or tea, bread, and eggs for breakfast for as little as 15GHC. Main courses start at just 30ghc and are sufficient for one person. Foods can also be made based on your preferences at cool rates.

The RIVERFRONT

One of the resort’s best features is its riverfront. The river’s banks are filled with smooth sand excavated from the river’s depths. I’m not sure of the river’s name, but I do know that it flows into the Volta Lake. So, I think. The water is exceptionally clean and free of salt. I observed that a lot of the nearby residents rely on the river for water supply.

SWIMMING

Here are some swimming-related questions for you. It is not advisable to swim. Only those who can swim or those who are under a lifeguard’s supervision are allowed to do so. I’m fairly skilled at swimming, so I did it at my own free will and with assistance from the locals.

SECURITY

I had no problems with security. Security personnel patrol the area and keep an eye on everything. The locals are also quite friendly and accommodating. We spent some time together by the riverfront.
Below is a reel of my trip to the facility.

In the Eden Volta Paradise Resort, you may feel at home. The facility provides everything you might possibly need in a cozy environment.
