Sunyani to Accra flights have started on PassionAir, a domestic carrier with the broadest route network in the nation.
The airline’s managing director, Samuel Ato Hagan, expressed satisfaction that his company is the first to operate in the area following the airport’s opening a few weeks ago at a brief ceremony in Sunyani to launch PassionAir’s debut trip to the city.
He informed passengers that the airline was committed to providing them with the best possible service and ensuring their safety.
In addition, he pushed local hospitality and tourism businesses to use the airline’s activities there to market their brands.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister for Transport Kweku Ofori Asiamah praised PassionAir for making the risky decision to fly the Accra-Sunyani route, particularly given that the airport had only recently been opened and there was no empirical data to guarantee the company of a high volume of passenger traffic.
