Nigerian music and businessman Mr. Eazi has announced the return of his highly patronized event series ‘DETTY RAVE’ with a twist to this year’s.
This year’s will start with a tour of Ghana’s universities and culminate in the much-anticipated return of the main Detty Rave in December.
Between July 31st and August 31st, the Road to Detty Rave tour will take place. The three confirmed universities are the University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and the University of Ghana (Legon), with a fourth university to be chosen based on the results of an online poll. Mr Eazi will emcee each event, which will be broadcast live on African television and feature performances by surprise guests.
Detty Rave has been a highlight of West Africa’s #DettyDecember calendar since its start in 2017, bringing an all-star cast of foreign performers to Accra, including Rick Ross, Koffee, Giggs, Afro B, Kranium, King Promise, Simi, Busiswa, and KiDI, as well as sets by Africa’s finest DJs.
Mr. Eazi will be partnering with Ghanaian marketing agency Echo House, a powerhouse skilled in curating youthful events for the campus tour.
