The Global Citizen Festival is a festival of music and social change that brings together musicians, activists, world leaders, and Global Citizens to call for immediate action on the most pressing global challenges.
The Global Citizen Festival stage offers a platform for world leaders, business leaders, and philanthropists to make commitments with the goal to end extreme poverty and inspire genuine, lasting change in addition to serving as a venue for performances by some of the biggest performers in the world.
This year, the Global Citizen mission will be bringing its initiative to Ghana. The 65th anniversary of Ghana’s independence and the 20th anniversary of the African Union both coincide in 2022, providing more prospects for the partnership to promote equality, development, and the elimination of poverty on the continent and around the world.
At the event which is slated for the 29th of September 2022, the Black Star Square will host a star-studded line-up that includes; Usher, Gyakie, H.E.R., Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Stormzy, SZA, and TEMS.
Tickets or passes to the event can be earned by participating in campaigns such as signing petitions, completing quizzes, posting posts on social media, writing letters to international leaders, and more on the Global Citizen app or the official website.
By doing so, you’ll accumulate points that you can use to enter ticket drawings and that will increase your chances of winning.
