El Padrino, a high-end bar, restaurant, and cigar club, is the latest destination for luxury fans and cigar connoisseurs inside the Atlantic Tower in Accra’s Airport City district. The upscale lounge has a fine dining restaurant open for lunch and dinner, a non-smoking dining room, a bar with small-batch spirits, and West Africa’s largest walk-in humidor to preserve its cornucopia, a diverse range of tobacco blends and cigar types. It also has ultra-modern decor in rich woods and leathers.
El Padrino, which translates to “The Godfather” in Spanish, pays homage by displaying framed portraits of some of the most well-known cigar enthusiasts in the world, including Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Jordan, Angelina Jolie, and Jay Z, on its “wall of fame” that runs the length of the entrance. A walk-in humidor with a glass enclosure that regulates temperature and has a large range of Cuban cigars and cigarillos is located at the back of the building.
